A Blank Page ...

     Hello! I'm new here, but I think I enjoy it already...

    Anyways! To start, hi! I'm Briar. I'm a 90s kid, and I'm usually a tired, hoodie clad dork with a Dr Pepper in hand. I have dual BA, one in Forensic Psychology and the other in Creative Writing, and I am currently working towards my MFA in Fiction. I hope to be published within a year or so ... if I can get to writing again. That's for a later paragraph.

    Some of my favorite interests and hobbies is internet surfing, catching up on TV shows or films (currently mulling over The Pitt, will post later), painting/drawing, rearranging my room or redecorating it, and of course - writing! Some of my personal favorite genres across media platforms is sci-fi, fantasy, romantasy, fiction, horror, and comedy. With these, there are also a few blends that I enjoy as well, but I'll save that. 

    Some of my favorite bands/artists are My Chemical Romance, Bring Me The Horizon, Nine Inch Nails, Lana Del Rey, Hozier, Mumford & Sons, MARINA, Lady Gaga, Megan Thee Stallion, Powerman 5000, Gorillaz, and Nicole Dollanganger to name a few. The genres bounce around, but it's fine.

    Some common franchises I will talk about are Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Demon Slayer, and possibly DC Comics. I say possibly, because I know my one streaming subscription is about to end, but I am a little tempted to renew it. 

    As for my own writing ...

    My novel's genre is paranormal fantasy with some romance with the main character being the personification of Death. His name is Edmund, and I will talk about Edmund a lot here. Years ago, I did have a roleplay blog for him on Tumblr under various names, but the most well known URLs are mortiifer and scarwritten. I'll make a proper post about him and his introduction later, but I will most likely keep it to his contemporary universe rather than his novel one. Y'know, being frightened of ideas being stolen and such. Especially with AI skimming.

    Regardless, as I approach publication, I will begin to promo the novel featuring him.

    As I mention in my bio, this blog will mostly be writing - fiction and non-fiction. The fiction can be my original characters or (most likely) Star Wars fanfiction. The non-fiction will be reviews/thoughts about media I consume from shows, films, and music. Occasionally, I may throw an audiobook or podcast in, but it's rare I seek those out.

lazarus drug.

  Summary: During ROTJ on the Death Star, Vader confronts the conflicted feelings finally upon seeing Luke tortured by the Emperor. Stepping in, he lays down his own life in order to save his son - and the Galaxy. Notes: So, one night I was listening to Lazarus Drug by Meg Washington, and then was possessed by visions from Anakin. Hopefully, I captured it well enough.
